제목 | Carbon fiber felt films coated with 3D snowflake-shaped Ni3S2/Ni produced by electroless Ni plating for cathode electrode in lithium batteries |
초록 | The development of high capacity batteries has attracted considerable attention in recent years owing to their widespread applications such as in electronics, automobiles, and portable nano-devices. Lithium-ion batteries have been focused on and used widely since the Li ion exhibits high energy density. In the current study, we fabricated a large-area, highly uniform Ni3S2/Ni compound covering a carbon-fiber web by using the electrospinning and electroless plating methods. Since such snowflake-shaped Ni3S2/Ni particles on conductive carbon fibers have large surface areas, excellent electrical conductivity and high electrolyte penetrability, the web structure we made was able, as a binder-free cathode material, to enhance the performance of lithium batteries by endowing them with a high specific capacity, i.e., high capacity per unit mass of the cathode, and high energy density. |
