제목 Nondestructive Evaluation of Nicalon Nanowire Strands Composites Using Electro-Micromechanical Technique
초록 Electrical and mechanical properties of Ni nanowire reinforced epoxy composites depend on various parameters such as inherent properties of Ni Nanowire, the degree of dispersion, aspect ratio, shape and content, etc. Among them, the degree of dispersion is one of the very important factors affecting on electrical and mechanical properties. Nondestructive damage sensitivity and electrical properties of various concentration of Ni/epoxy composites were investigated using electro-micromechanical technique. Ni nanowire/epoxy composites were oriented well under magnetic field and their apparent modulus was higher than the random state case (Fig. 1). However, aligned case under magnetic field, volumetric electrical resistance were smaller than the random case, which means electrically conductive better. Electrical contact resistance was measured with increasing concentration from 0.3 vol%, 0.5 vol% and 2 vol% ranges respectively. For 0.3 vol% concentration case, electrical contact resistance was roughly responded with applied stress-strain, whereas 2 vol% concentration responded well exactly (Fig. 2).
