The use of VX and Novichok in terrorism has drawn public attention to the toxicity of chemical warfare agents. First, VX and Novichok were not well-known toxic chemicals to the general public, and the method used in the assassination was not a conventional poisoning method such as inhalation or oral ingestion. In order to understand the methods used in the assassination of Kim Jung-nam in Malaysia and the assassination of a Russian spy father and daughter in Salisbury, England, one must understand how the toxic chemical agents work and what factors can influence the toxicity.
