제목 Co-culture of NPCs and BMSCs on DBP /PLGA Scaffolds: in vitro
초록 Nucleus Pulposus is jelly-like substance in the middle of the spinal disc. Bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells(BMSCs) are important progenitor and supporting cells that have the intrinsic ability to self-renewal and differentiate into multiple functional cells. In this study, we fabricated natural/synthetic hybrid PLGA scaffolds included 20% of DBP(DBP/ PLGA). Co-cultured nucleus pulposus cells(NPCs) with BMSCs were in the ratio 100:0, 75:25, 25:75, 0:100. Reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) was assessed to measure mRNA expression for type II Collagen, aggrecan and glycosaminoglycan(GAG) quantity from cells in scaffolds. We confirmed proliferation and differentiation of BMSCs to NPCs on DBP/ PLGA scaffolds. This research was supported by WCU(R31-20029) and MBC(0405-BO01-0204-0006)
