Calcium phosphate films are highly biocompatible and osteoconductive, which can be used as bone substitutes. In this investigation, drug such as bisphosphonate was incorporated in calcium phosphate hybrid films to increase therapeutic effects. Physicochemical properties of the calcium phosphate hybrid films were analyzed using FE-SEM, AFM and XPS. Also, the effect of calcium phosphate hybrid films on protein adsorption, bovine serum albumin (BSA), hen egg white lysozyme (LZM) and fibrinogen (FBN) was analyzed using optical waveguide lightmode specptroscope(OWLS). Biological responses of osteoblask-like MG63 cells to calcium phosphate films also examined. |
