제목 Synthesis and transistor properties of novel asymmetric oligothiophenes : the relation between structure and performance
초록 A series of novel thiophene-naphthalene based three asymmetric oligomers, 5-decyl-2,2’:5’,2’’:5’’,2’’’-quterthiophene (DtT), 5-decyl-5’’-(naphthalen-2-yl)-2,2’:5’,2’’-terthiophene (D3TN), 5-(4-decylphenyl)-5’-(naphthalen-2-yl)-2,2’-thiophene (DP2TN) were synthesized by Suzuki cross-coupling reaction. Additionally, an investigation of the performance of organic field-effect transistors based on these oligomers in view of the relationship between the solid-state order and the electronic performance is described. UV-vis absorption measurements revealed that the three oligomers induced the formation of H-type aggregates. The solution-processed organic field-effect transistors were fabricated by spin-coating on octyltrichlorosilane-treated SiO2. The fabricated devices showed the field-effect mobility of 3.3 × 10-3 cm2/Vs for DtT, 1.6 × 10-2 cm2/Vs for D3TN and 3.7 × 10-2 cm2/Vs for DP2TN.
