An integrated photonics platform is a promising solution for future high-density and high-performance optical devices. Especially, Si photonics is one of the most successful applications for near-IR wavelength range. This platform also has a potential to be utilized for wide IR wavelength range, up to 12 μm. To achieve a high-performance photonics device, there are many components such as passive devices and active devices. Among them, in this presentation, I will focus on phase modulation devices, such as an optical modulator and switch. |
