제목 Quinoxaline-based Small Molecules as Interlayer Materials in Organic Photovoltaic Cells
초록 We successfully synthesized two small molecules based on the quinoxaline units for interlayer materials in organic photovoltaic cells. The structure of the small molecule was constructed through the Quinoxaline (Qx) derivatives and the triphenylphosphine oxide (TPPO) unit for enhancing the electron injection/extraction properties. In addition, the small molecules can be dissolved in an alcohol-type solvent by incorporating a phosphine oxide unit. Owing to the introduction of TPPO units, the small molecules can easily stack the interlayer on top of the active layer. Therefore, the small molecules make it possible to tune the work function of cathodes via the dipole moment in organic photovoltaic cells. The photovoltaic properties were investigated with a device composed of the inverted-type configuration of ITO/ZnO/Small molecules: Y6/MoO3/Ag. Thus, our interlayer materials are excellent candidates for improved highly efficient organic photovoltaic cells.
