Vacuum Processed Diketopyrrolopyrrole (DPP) based Random Copolymer with Ratio Controlled Toluene- and Benzene- Groups:PC71BM Bulk-Heterojunction for Efficient Organic Solar cells |

We synthesized diketopyrrolopyrrole (DPP) donor polymers with ratio-controlled toluene- versus benzene-chemical group and mixed with a fullerene acceptor. The random copolymeric donor materials have been known as their suitable film-forming characteristics and phase-separated nano-morphology. Moreover, we investigated to fabricate an efficient donor-acceptor with improved electrical properties through a vacuum treatment. The vacuum process leads to increased phase-separation with a low surface roughness and nanoscale-distributed crystallinity due to optimized evaporation of the residual solvent in the bulk-heterojuction active layer. Therefore, the optimized devices from vacuum process using DPP-based donor materials with toluene (T) versus benzene (B) linkers and an electron transporting layer contribute to an improvement in the electrical parameters and the power conversion efficiencies of up to 6.31% due to the efficient charge transfer and reduced series resistance at the devices. |
