Although planar device structure can simplify a fabrication process without the need for meso-scaffold, this device structure through one-step spin coating deposition has proven to be challenging due to the complexity of a perovskite growth. We introduce the heated airflow in planar CH3NH3PbI3-xClx perovskite devices during a nucleation stage of the perovskite. Upon employing heated air, we controlled the nucleation of the perovskite. Our optimized temperature of the heated airflow is 100 ℃. A perovskite solar cell with the average power conversion efficiency of 17.6%, which exhibits 14.3% maximum power point (MPP) efficiency, is demonstrated. This strategy provides a new approach to make pin-hole free perovskite layers for efficient perovskite solar cells. |
