Improvement in scratch resistance of PMMA using aluminum catalyst for organic/inorganic hybrid hard coating material |
초록 |
Hard coating materials for improving the scratch resistance of transparent plastic substrate surface were prepared by mixing urethane acrylate, polyhedral oligomeric silsesquioxane (POSS), and modified silica sol. POSS was prepared by a sol-gel reaction of organo-trialkoxysilane. Silica sol was modified with organoalkoxysilane to form chemical bonds on a substrate. Aluminum catalyst was added to increase the degree of condensation. UV-cured organic/inorganic hybrid hard coating on a PMMA substrate resulted in a highly uniform and transparent coating layer. Condensation of sol-gel product was studied by 29Si nuclear magnetic resonance. Surface hardness of hard coating layer was evaluated by a pencil hardness test. Transmittance of hard coating was investigated by UV/Vis spectrometer. The properties of hard coating layer varied depending on the degree of condensation. |
