Synthesis of organic-inorganic hybrid sol for transparent and high thermal resistance coating |

Organic-inorganic hybrid sols were synthesized from nano silica particles dispersed in water and organoalkoxysilanes using the sol-gel process. This work focuses on the effects of the multifunctional organoalkoxysilanes to form a transparent and high-thermal-resistance coating film. Organic-inorganic binder is required the sol stability as dispersion medium and high-thermal-resistance property as producing the insulation layer of heating element. The effect of the different numbers and types of the functional group were focused on in this study in the interest of obtaining organic-inorganic hybrid sols. For characterization of the hybrid sols, variation of the viscosity and the transmittance of the hybrid sols were evaluated as a function of the reaction time for the sol stability. The organic-inorganic hybrid sols were coated on the glass substrate using a spin coating process. Thermal property of organic-inorganic hybrid sol was characterized by thermogravimetric analysis. |
