We are to establish broad overview information, both qualitative and quantitative, relating to the world market for polyacrylonitrile (PAN) or pitch-based carbon fibers; and to generate an effective analysis and break down of consumption by process route and eventual end-use. Carbon fibers are "dream materials" that definitely have a bright future. There are obstacles, including mass production difficulties and high prices. However, once these problems are addressed, the market will grow explosively and open a new chapter in the history of new materials. |
