제목 | Preparation of drug-containing PCL microsphere as a drug delivery carrier |
초록 | Tissue engineering is a newly emerging field that can provide technical solutions for damaged tissues due to aging or accidents. Polymeric materials play a crucial role in tissue engineering for the replacement of the damaged bone tissues. In this study, a poly(ε-caprolacton) microsphere was chosen as a drug delivery carrier for bone disease treatment. PCL microspheres containing alendronate was used. The physical characteristics of the microspheres were evaluated in terms of hydrophilicity and chemical state. The cytocompatibility was examined in terms of adhesion and proliferation of osteoblast. The results demonstrated that PCL microspheres can be utilized in drug delivery system.
