Microporous polymers have been studied for applications such as gas storage, gas separation, and catalysis. In this work, we prepared microporous polymer networks by Heck cross-coupling reaction of divinylbenzene and aryl-bromo derivatives. We used PCP Pincer Palladium(II) Complexes as a catalyst having high reactivity and regioselectivity. The morphologies and Brunauer-Emmett-Teller surface areas of the polymers were investigated. The microporous polymers carbonized at 800 oC showed enhanced BET surface areas and CO2 uptakes. |
