Metal halideperovskite quantum dot (PQD) has been regarded as a promising material for optoelectronicdevices attributed to their excellent properties. However, their instability inaqueous system has limited the application in PEC water splitting. Recently, numerous efforts have been conducted to enhance the stability by encapsulating, ligand modifying, and surface engineering. Besides, tungsten trioxide (WO3)has been investigated as a potential material for PEC water splitting because ofits good electron mobility and moderate hole diffusion length. Whereas thesluggish kinetics and short minority carrier diffusion length cause the rapidrecombination of photogenerated electron-hole pair. Herein, we incorporated stablemetal halide PQD in WO3 and achieved about 1.7-fold higherphotocurrent density at 1.23 V (vs. RHE) under 1 sun illumination. |
