PET/A10-MMT 0.5wt% nanocomposites containing various DMSi contents were prepared by in-situ polymerization and were investigated for thermal, mechanical properties and morphologies. The PETi nanocomposites exhibit lower crystallization temperature than PET and PET/A10-MMT nanocomposites during DSC cooling run, indicating that the incorporated DMSi ionic group acts as retardness of nucleating effect than A10-MMT nanocomposites. But PETi nanocomposites were well dispersed in PET matrix better than PET/ A10-MMT nanocomposites, confirming by TEM micrographs. |
