Depending on the Amount of PLGA/DBP/SIS Hybrid Scaffold for Inflammatory Reaction |

Abstract: Because demineralized bone particle (DBP) contains various bioactive molecules such as cytokines, it is widely used biomaterials in the field of tissue engineering. Porcine small intestinal submucosa (SIS) derived from the submucosal layer of porcine intestine, both generate a minimal inflammatory response following implantation and have been approved by FDA for many types of biomedical application. In this study, PLGA/20% DBP/0, 10, 20, 40 and 80% of SIS scaffolds were evaluated using an NIH3T3 cells were seeded into PLGA/DBP/SIS scaffolds. After 1, 2 and 3days of cell proliferation and viability were measured by MTT assay. The morphology of cellular adhesion were observed by scanning electron microscope (SEM). We found that PLGA/DBP/SIS blend films implanted into a rat showed significantly diminished inflammatory responses. |
