제목 Preparation of high flux MOFs embedded polysulfone (PSF/MOF) nanofiltration membranes for effective dye removal from aqueous solution
초록 Fabrication of advanced and effective membrane filtration with high flux, outstanding dyes removal, and antifouling performances are essential for water purification. In this study, a novel metal-organic framework (MIL-100 Fe) fillers, which having high adsorption capacity, large surface area, water stable, and hazardous free, is embedded into the polysulfone nanofiltration membrane to achieve outstanding performances for water purification. The increasing the pure water flux from 67.8 to 219.8 L/m2 h, and decreasing contact angle from 64.7⁰ to 45.4⁰ of the composite membranes were deep-rooted that MIL-100 Fe incorporation boosts the hydrophilicity and pore size improvement of composite membranes. Moreover, PSF/MOF membranes shown a high rejection percentage of dyes and improved antifouling performance, which proves that MIL-100 Fe incorporated polysulfone composite nanofiltration membranes (PSF/MOF) are promising materials for effective dye removal in water purification application.
