Graphene has been studied all over the world becauseof their unique and superior properties; however, graphene has not been widelyused for industrial purpose due to poor processability. In this work, block copolymersas graphene dispersants were synthesized to non-covalently functionalize highlyordered pyrolytic graphite (HOPG) in supercritical carbon dioxide, and thegraphene was successfully dispersed. The dispersants are block copolymers of 2,2,2-trifluoroethylmethacrylate (TFEMA) and 4-vinyl pyridine (4VP), and these were prepared via reversibleaddition-fragmentation chain transfer (RAFT) polymerization. The resultant dispersionsand dispersants were characterized by TGA, UV, SEM, GPC, and NMR analyses(MOTIE Grant No.: 10044338). |
