Enhanced Antimicrobial Activities by Coencapsulation of Palmitoyl Tripeptide and Chelator into Ethosome |

Palmitoyl tripeptide can not be used in cosmetics as preservatives in spite of its powerful antimicrobial activities, because the antimicrobial activities decrease significantly in cosmetic formulation due to the interaction and interference between tripeptide and cosmetic constituents. Encapsulation of the tripeptide into ethosome was attempted to recover the tripeptide activities. Combination of tripeptide and chelator enhanced antimicrobial activities of ethosomes. In this study, antimicrobial activities and physico-chemical properties of the coencapsulated ethosomes are investigated. |
