In this study, PEDOT-PSS was synthesized in the water-organic solvent (Including OH groups : ethylene glycol, propylene glycol, glycerol, erythritol etc) system. PSS [poly(4-styrenesulfonic acid)] and APS (ammonium peroxysulfate) were used as dopant and oxidant, respectively. UV-Vis. and FT-IR spectroscopy were used to check π to π* transition, transmittance and functional groups of PEDOT synthesized. Particel size which influence the transmittance was monitored by Zeta-potential measurement. PEDOT-PSS synthesized in water-ethylene glycol medium showed the decrease in surface resistance (23kΩ/□) and increase in transmittance (98%) than those(200kΩ/□, 95.49%) for PEDOT-PSS synthesized in water. However, increase in the number of OH group used in the synthesis resulted in the decrease in transmittance and increase in surface resistance. Effects of the solvent on the surface resistance and transmittance will be discussed. |
