A Study on the Ultrasonic Transducer for Long Range Detection Using PZT (PbTiO3) |

In this paper, we present the ultrasound transducer for detection a long range distance transducer development which could be preferably used in ultrasonic sensor for Smart Parking Assistant System(SPAS).The transducer is designed for the improved sensitivity performance. The performance of transducer depends on the piezoelectric materials, diaphragm and housing structure. The piezoelectric materials and diaphragm is used PZT(PbTiO3) and aluminum. We use the FEM analysis and simulation for the diaphragm and housing structure design. It is possible to design for the more increase of sensitivity and the anisotropic angle beam for accurate detection of the obstacle and space. To improve the sensitivity, the housing structure is applied a diaphragm with metal ring and the piezoelectric materials are used by considering the piezoelectric coefficient. According to the test results, the developed Transducer is able to detect a longer distance than commercial transducer. So, it is is expected to use smart parking assistant system at further distance than now |
