Zeolite membranes with a homogeneous crystal structure have limitations for its stable synthesis. In order to overcome this limitation, it is necessary to investigate membrane with a hybrid zeolite crystal structure. We fabricated a membrane with a heterogeneous structure (DDR@MWW) using the MCM-22 zeolite seed layer and the synthetic precursor used for the synthesis of DDR zeolite membrane. The DDR@MWW membrane has 6-MR pores (0.28 nm) with a size similar to that of H2 molecules (0.289 nm). However, due to the low permeability of H2, the H2/CO2 permselectivity of the DDR@MWW membrane was unimpressive. 8-MR pores and some of defects in the DDR@MWW membrane have a positive effect on CO2 separation. Through these studies, we confirmed the effect of the zeolite separation membrane with a hybrid structure and the pores in the zeolite on gas separation. |
