Photolabile linkers have an important role in solid-phase peptide synthesis for their effective cleavage conditions which are orthogonal to others. Because they are robust at acid and base conditions, they were widely used in solid-phase peptide synthesis, especially for on-bead bio assays. Here, a new photolabile linker was designed and successfully synthesized from veratraldehyde in 6 steps in good yields. We report its usefulness for solid-phase peptide synthesis on a core-shell type resin. |
