Evaluation of Urea-SCR DeNOx System on Iron Pickling Line for Stainless Steel Treatment |

Full-scale tests have been conducted to improve the performance of urea-SCR system equipped for the removal of NOx (= NO + NO2) which are generated during the metal pickling operation. More specifically, this study has focused on the characteristic behavior of DeNOx when two different kinds of metals such as cold and hot rolls are pickled. It was observed that the initial NOx concentrations and the air to urea mass ratios have a significant effect on the overall DeNOx process. On the basis of these results, we have proposed the way of how to improve the performance of urea-SCR system in iron pickling line, which will be discussed in details. |
