제목 | Synthesis and Properties of Thiourethane Lens with High Refractive Index |
초록 | The general plastic lens in the market made from polyethylene glycol bis(allylcarbonate), poly(methylmethacrylate) and diallyl phthalate resins have refractive indexes (nD) of 1.50 and have very similar to glass lens (nD=1.52). The plastic lens with light weight as well as high refractive indexes (nD) is required to enhance the optical function and polythiourethanes have been known to have high refractive indexes. In order to obtain high refractive plastic material, some polythiols and sulfur containing diisocyanates were prepared and characterized. Then, polythiourethane resin was synthesized by the polyaddition of polythiols and sulfur containing diisocyanates in cast mold to give transparent lens. The thermal and optical properties of polythiourethanes were evaluated and will be discussed. |
