Controlled Cationic Ring-opening Terpolymerization of Ethylene xide, Epibromohydrin and tert-Butyldimethylsilyl glycidyl ether |
초록 |
The well-defined terpolymer derived from ethylene oxide(EO), epibromohydrin(EBH), and tert-butyldimethylsilyl glycidyl ether(SGE) was synthesized by the cationic ring-opening polymerization with ethanol and 1,4-butanediol as initiators and BF3O(C2H5)2 as a catalyst system. This polymerization was proceeded by activated monomer (AM) mechanism to controll the molecular weight, narrow molecular weight distribution, and the functionality. The structure and the composition of synthesized terpolymers have been characterized by 1H-NMR spectroscopy. The molecular weight and the molecular weight distribution of their copolymer have been analyzed by gel-permeation chromatography (GPC) |
