제목 Study on the mechanical properties of poly(acrylonitrile-butadiene-styrene) and poly(lactic acid) blends
초록 Polylactic acid (PLA) is known as a valuable biodegradable polymer. Poly(acrylonitrile-butadiene-styrene) (ABS) and PLA blend, ranged 10, 20, 30 and 40 wt% PLA content, were prepared by mixing of the materials with a twin-screw extruder. ABS/PLA blends were compatibilized with EGMA, styrene-MAH and EOR-MAH. To investigate the effect of compatibilizer on the mechanical and morphological properties of the ABS/PLA blends. Effect of compatibilizer on the mechanical properties of ABS/PLA blend showed that as the compatibilizer styrene-MAH content of the blend increased, the tensile strength and impact strength increased. From the above results, it is suggested that the addition of compatibilzer acts effectively to enhance the mechanical properties of the ABS/PLA blends.
