In drug delivery field, carrier design is a critical point. Because, The drug release period can be varied from weeks to months, depending on the molecular weight and chemical composition of the biodegradable polymer segments. Polylactide (PLA), poly(e-caprolactone) (PCL) and poly(lactide-co-glycolide) (PLGA) are good drug delivery carriers and approved by FDA. However, because of the copolymer was semi-crystallization, low biodegradation rate and poor flexible property. In the present work, we synthesised random copolymers MPEG-b-(PLLA-ran-PGA-ran-PCL) (MPEG-PLGC) witch is different compositions and types of monomer units give a range of materials with different mechanical and biodegradation properties. Then, Anti-cancer drug PTx (Paclitaxel) loaded in MPEG-PLGC. Also, evaluated that the polymers provoke an in vivo inflammatory response. Thus, MPEG-PLGC diblock copolymer can act as drug delivery carrier with biodegradation materials from a few weeks to a few months. |
