Poly(ethylene oxide phosphonamidate) Hydrogels as Absorbent of Heavy Metal Ions |
초록 |
Hydrogels are water-swollen crosslinked smart polymeric materials. Modification by special groups such as thiols can enable obtained hydrogel to exhibit excellent adsorbility to metal ions. Here we describe a novel poly (ethylene oxide phosphonamidate) hydrogel with thiol groups in structures. Simple synthesis procedures allow production of the hydrogels in a large scale. A series of metal ions involving noble metal and heavy metal ions have been employed for testing the adsorbility of the hydrogel. The experimental parameters such as pH, concentration and adsorption time have also been investigated in detail. The results indicate that the thiol-containing hydrogel has high efficiency for removal of the metal ions from the wastewater. |
