제목 Surface Structure of Poly(vinyl alcohl) Microspheres Prepared by the Heterogeneous Surface Saponification of Poly(vinyl pivalate/vinyl acetate)
초록 Syndiotactic poly(vinyl alcohol) (PVA)/poly(vinyl pivalate/vinyl acetate) [P(VPi/VAc)] microspheres, with a skin-core structure, were prepared through the heterogeneous surface saponification of copolymers of vinyl pivalate (VPi) and vinyl acetate(VAc).For the preparation of P(VPi/VAc) microspheres with various particle sizes and a uniform particle size distribution (which are promising precursors of syndiotactic PVA embolic materials to be introduced through catheters for the management of gastrointestinal bleeders, arteriovenous malformations, hemangiomas, and traumatic rupture of blood vessls), VPi and VAc were suspension-copolymerized with 2,2'-azobis(2,4-dimethylvaleronitrile). we prepared PVA microspheres examined the structure properties of surface by video micro scope (VMS), the proton nuclear magnetic resonance (1H NMR) spectrometer and infrared spectroscopy (IR).
