Synthesis of irradiated chitosan/ poly(vinylpyrrolidone) hybrid polymer networks for biomedical applications |
초록 |
A novel hybrid polymer network (HPN) was synthesized from irradiated chitosan and poly(vinylpyrrolidone). Hydrophilicity and molecular weight of chitosan were adjusted by radiation chain scission of chitosan. The effect of hydrophilicity and molecular weight of irradiated chitosan were evaluated on structural and thermal characteristics of HPN. Increase in the hydrophilicity of HBN was further confirmed by the decrease of contact angle and crystallinity while increasing irradiation doses. Antimicrobial characteristics of HPN were also observed using E coli. The results showed that HPN are suitable for tissue engineering and other biomedical applications. |
