Silica/polyamideimide (PAI) nanocomposite has received a great attention due to its applications, especially insulating applications based on thermal stability, outstanding mechanical property, low thermal expansion, moisture resistance and good insulation property. To improve the properties of materials, it is necessary to control the dispersion of the particles within the polymer. However, it is still difficult to prepare the nanocomposite materials with uniformly dispersed silica particles. In this study, we reported synthesis methods using different coupling agents and characterization of samples. In this system, the coupling agents were used to prevent silica from aggregation by surface modification and to induce chemical bonding between the organic and inorganic materials. Consequently, we could obtain silica/PAI nanocomposite with well-dispersed colloidal silica. The samples were characterized by using TEM, SEM, FT-IR, TGA, etc. |
