제목 Living ring opening metathesis polymerization (ROMP) to synthesize novel diblock copolymers with polyhedral oligomeric silisesquioxane (POSS) nanocomposite as pendent group on one block and carboxylic acid group on the other block
초록 Living ring opening metathesis copolymerization of polyhedral oligomeric silsesquioxane (POSS) monomer (NBEPOSS) and 5-norbornene-2,3-dicaboxylic acid trimethyl ester (NBETMS) was performed via Grubbs catalyst, RuCl2(=CHPh)(PCy3)2. The block copolymers were then converted to diblock copolymers with 5-norbornene-2,3-dicaboxylic acid (NBECOOH) and NBEPOSS two blocks by precipitating the polymer in dichloromethane or hexane. For polymerization of NBETMS as the first block, a linear dependence of Mn on conversion, linear ln([M0]/[M]) on reaction time, very low Mn/Mw values demonstrate a living process.
