Study on the crystalline phase structures of 2-d exfoliated muscovite nanosheets /poly(vinylidene fluoride) nanocomposites |

With various applications of pulsed power capacitors and advances of its performances, research of polymer based capacitors has been increased. Since mostly polymer materials have high breakdown strength and low energy density, ferroelectric polymer PVDF is one of the best candidates for high energy density material. The ferroelectric properties of PVDF are determined by polar phases so called phase and phase. To obtain improved energy density it is inevitable to form stable polar phases. Silicate based materials affect phase transition of PVDF the polar phases from non-polar phase by hydrogen bonding. In this study nanocomposites of nanosheets of muscovite and PVDF were used to figure out dielectric properties. To observe enhanced polar phases X-ray diffraction spectroscopy (XRD), fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR) and differential Scanning Calorimeter (DSC) were used. Additionally dielectric properties of the nanocomposites were measured in various frequency ranges. |
