제목 Stimuli-responsive Electronic Hydrogel Sensor for Selective Real-time Wireless Detection of Cancer Cells
초록 A wireless electronic hydrogelsensor with stimuli-responsive properties was designed by incorporating stimuli-responsivepolymer dots (PD) into hydrogel matrix for selectively detecting cancer cells.As the higher level of redox species, such as glutathione (GSH) and reactive oxygenspecies (ROS), and acidic microenvironment were found in cancer cells ratherthan in normal cells, those stimuli will induce the structural changes instimuli-responsive PD and will change the electronic conductivity of hydrogelsensor. The different in conductivity between cancer cells- and normalcells-treated hydrogel sensor can further produce a distinct electronic signalin response to pressure and strain stimuli applied towards the hydrogel.Moreover, the real-time electronic signal from hydrogel sensor can be monitoredvia smartphones by connecting the hydrogel sensor to wireless sensingsystem. Thus, this system offers a potential approach for future point-of-carediagnostics.
