Chiral optoelectronic materials and devices based on organic semiconductors |
초록 |
Chiral optoelectronic devices utilizing circularly polarized light have garnered increasing interest in recent years owing to a wide range of future applications such as optical communications, photonic encryption, biosensors and 3D imaging. π-Conjugated molecules (i.e. organic semiconductor) are one of the most promising chiroptical semiconductor materials because their chiroptical properties can be effectively modulated by intentional designing of molecular asymmetry and self-assembled nanostructure. To achieve the high performance chiral optoelectronic device, a new strategy for organic semiconductor thin-films with not only strong chiroptical activity but also good charge transport properties that can be directly applicable to the optoelectronic devices, is required. In this presentation we will discuss two efficient strategies for high-performance chiral organic optoelectronic devices; (I) self-organization of chiral small molecule/polymer semiconductor blends thin-films and (ii) near-infrared chiroptical phototransistors and its application to highly strong optoelectronic encryption. |
