제목 Detection of Various Viruses using Multiple Quantum Dots and Magnetic Beads Immobilized Silica Nanoparticles
초록 We developed various virus detection method showed high sensitivity using quantum dots and magnetic beads. Though lots of detection methods have developed, the current methods involve pre-processing, complicated procedure and show low sensitivity. Multiple quantum dots(QDs) embedded silica nanoparticles are 500 times brighter than a single QDs. Biotin was immobilized  as a ligand to detect streptavidin in a range from 1 μM to 10 zM. Comparing sensitivity with  polymerase chain reaction(PCR), we used the avian virus(H1N1 influenza virus) with the concentrations range of 1.9 × 10-4 to 3.2 hemagglutination unit (HAU)/mL for medical application. It has 5000 times higher sensitivity than conventional hemocytogram. In addition, it can be applied a broad range of biomedical field due to its high sensitivity and simple procedure.
