We developed various virus detection method showed high sensitivity using quantum dots and magnetic beads. Though lots of detection methods have developed, the current methods involve pre-processing, complicated procedure and show low sensitivity. Multiple quantum dots(QDs) embedded silica nanoparticles are 500 times brighter than a single QDs. Biotin was immobilized as a ligand to detect streptavidin in a range from 1 μM to 10 zM. Comparing sensitivity with polymerase chain reaction(PCR), we used the avian virus(H1N1 influenza virus) with the concentrations range of 1.9 × 10-4 to 3.2 hemagglutination unit (HAU)/mL for medical application. It has 5000 times higher sensitivity than conventional hemocytogram. In addition, it can be applied a broad range of biomedical field due to its high sensitivity and simple procedure.
