Organic thin film transistors (OTFTs) based on molecular and polymeric organic semiconductors have attracted considerable interest due to their lower cost deposition processes and higher compatibility with a plastic substrate compared to silicone-based thin film transistors (TFT). They can be ideally used in flexible flat panel displays, electronic paper, organic light emitting diodes, smart cards, smart inventory tags, intelligent sensors arrays, etc. The performance of OTFTs has improved dramatically over the past few years, and many OTFTs based on new materials have shown electrical characteristics comparable to hydrogenated amorphous silicon based TFTs. We reported the synthesis of new polymeric semiconductor materials. The structure of obtained material was confirmed by NMR, FT-IR and GPC, and the physical properties were characterized by UVevisible spectroscopy, cyclovoltammetry, differential scanning calorimetry, and thermogravimetric analysis. |
