제목 Selective and Irreversible Demicellization of Poly(benzyl ether)-Based Surfactants via Head-to-Tail Depolymerization
초록 This study describes the design of polymeric micelles that are comprised of stimuli-responsive, amphiphilic, block copolymers and their demicellization behavior via head-to-tail depolymerization. The block copolymers can be synthesized by anionic polymerization of two different monomers and form stable micelles owing to their hydrophilic and hydrophobic blocks. In particular, the polymers contain a poly(benzyl ether)-based backbone that is capable of continuous depolymerization in response to a specific signal, which results in triggered, irreversible demicellization under aqueous conditions. Therefore, we could further demonstrate the materials as a responsive vector. Water-insoluble drug molecules were loaded in the micelles and released on demand after exposure to a fluoride trigger.
