제목 | Synthesis and Characterization of Super Hydrophobic Silicon Polymer Derivatives |
초록 | Silicon basedpolymers are very soft and hydrophobic, optically transparent, stable to airand moisture and easily modified by grafting process on an active Si-H site througha hydrosilylation process in the presence of a metal catalyst. Silicone hydridecopolymer has potential applications in manufacturing products, such as touchscreen panel, and coating on glass, metal and plastic substrates. However,polymethylhydrosiloxane has poor mechanical properties due to its soft nature. Inthis study, silicone polymer derivatives of various molecular weight weresynthesized by ring opening polymerization. To enhance the hydrophobicitydramatically as well as anti-stain properties, hydrosilylation/cross-couplingreaction is used with Karstedt’s catalyst and the characterizations were analyzedby 1H NMR, 29Si NMR, FT-IR spectroscopy, GPC, andviscometer. |
