제목 Conversion of heated tobacco biomass for application as a high performance energy storage device material​
초록 We introduce a preparation method for supercapacitor active material via usage of heated tobacco biomass. Benefiting from the smoking mechanism, heated tobacco biomass is 99% recyclable compared to the conventional tobacco (50% remain). In detail, various biomasses are collected from the used heated tobacco mass, which are leaf,filter,and tube.These biomasses are turned into carbon material via carbonization (N2 gas). To enhance the capacitance, polypyrrole (ppy) material is coated onto the heated tobacco-derived carbon (ht-carbon)​. Electrochemical performance of ppy-coated ht-carbon electrodes exhibited specific capacitance of 110 F/g (1.0 A/g). Moreover,asymmetric supercapacitor device assembled by ppy-coated ht-carbon and ht-carbon successfully enlightened up the red LED bulb. This study suggests the effective method for preparation of supercapacitor active material​ derived from biomass, paving the new way toward invention of eco-friendly energy storage material.
