제목 Heating behavior and adhesion performance of Ni particle-embedded thermoplastic polyurethane adhesive film prepare by induction heating method
초록 Efficient heating system is necessary for industrial adhesive bonding processes. Adhesive curing in convection ovens is commonly used bonding process with disadvantages, including long times and non-targeted curing. Accordingly, induction heating is suggested as an alternative. Curing of thermoplastic and thermoset adhesives using induction heating are useful for adhesive joining and coating curing processes. Particularly, induction heating can provide distinct advantages, such as selectivity and localized heating. Ferromagnetic and metallic particles are commonly utilized as susceptor materials to generate heat by hysteresis for polymer adhesive joining processes.
The research objective of the study was to develop thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) adhesive film by adding different sized Ni particles and to examine the effect of the particle size, shape of particle, and amount of Ni particles on the heating behavior and adhesion performance of the adhesive film.
