Temperature-dependent Interaction Parameter of Polymers containing Polyvinylpridine |

The temperature-dependent interaction parameters (α) of poly(methyl methacrylate)/poly(2-vinylpyridine) (PMMA/P2VP) and PMMA/poly(4-vinylpyridine) (PMMA/P4VP) were investigated by obtaining SAXS profiles at various temperatures, and curve fitting to the random phase approximation theory. These two are compared with previously reported values for polystyrene/P4VP (PS/P4VP) and PS/P2VP. We found that the values of for PMMA/P2VP and PMMA/P4VP pairs are smaller than those for PS/P2VP and PS/P4VP pairs, respectively.
