Synthesis of PAN/PVDF-derived porous carbon fibers for supercapacitor electrode materials |

In this work, polyacrylonitrile (PAN)/polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF) composites were prepared by electrospinning fabrication and subsequent carbonization for supercapacitors electrode. Surface properties of the PAN/PVDF composites were carried out using X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS). The specific surface areas and pore size distributions were calculated by Brunauer-Emmett-Teller (BET) equation and non-local density functional theory (NLDFT) using N2/77 K adsorption isotherms respectively. Electrochemical behaviors were investigated by cyclic voltammetry (CV) in a three-electrode system. The results indicated that surface characteristics and porosities played an important role in the capacitance of the PAN/PVDF composites electrode. |
