Preparation and characterization of activated hard carbons by complex chemical activation |

In this study, polymer-based porous hard carbons were prepared by a complex chemical activation method. The complex chemical activation was conducted at different weight ratios of the zinc chloride (ZnCl2) and potassium hydroxide (KOH). The surface morphologies and structural characteristics of activated carbon materials were observed by SEM and XRD, respectively. The specific surface area were studied by BET, BJH, and HK equations with N2/77K adsorption isotherms. The results showed that the porous carbon materials were high surface area and excellent porosity and high yield. |
