제목 Phosphate removal in wastewater by functionalized mesoporous SBA-15
초록 As the regulation to control the level of phosphate in wastewater becomes much stricter, more efficient phosphate removal method should be developed. For this reason, mesoporous silica (SBA-15) which has large surface area was applied to remove phosphate in wastewater. Due to its low affinity for phosphate, SBA-15 was modified with functional groups. Various functional groups were adopted on the basis of their affinities for phosphate. The materials were synthesized by the post-synthesis method and analyzed with XRD, FT-IR and BET. To determine their adsorption capacities, equilibrium and kinetic test were conducted and analyzed by ion chromatography. Amino-functionalized SBA-15 showed the best adsorption capacity and possibility of its practical applications.
