Since Nuclear accidents such as those at Chernobyl and the Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Plant (FDNPP) have increased the distribution of radionuclides in the global environment. Especially, 137Cs is harmful to human health and the environment ; hence, research on new techniques and development of materials for removing from contaminated water have attracted attention. Herein, we prepared that core-shell structured Prussian blue analogue - carbon nanofiber (PBA-CNF) composites, synthesized by electrodeposition method, can be used to effectively exchange Cs cation via electrochemical adsorption / desorption. The FeFe-CNF electrodes more efficiently adsorbed and desorbed the Cs ions than other electrodes using PBA-CNF or FTO as a substrate. These results imply that FeFe-CNF could be applied to electrochemical and renewable energy applications. |
