제목 | Synthesis of Sulfonium-typed Photoinitiator and Its Application for Photocationic Polymerization of Epoxides |
초록 | Sulfonium salts, 1-methylphenylbenzylsulfonium hexafluorophosphate and 1-methoxycarbonylethylmethylphenylsulfonium hexafluorophosphate, were synthesized by the reaction of dimethylsulfate and the corresponding sulfide followed by anion exchange with KPF6. These sulfonium salts could be used as photoinitiators to polymerize epoxy monomer at lower temperature than previously reported benzylsulfonium salts. Moreover, sulfonium salts with benzyl groups showed better photoactivity than previously reported triphenylsulfonium hexafluorophosphate. These sulfonium salts have showed higher activity in photocationic polymerization. The sulfonium salts having carbonyl group is applicable to photolithographic process, namely, chemically amplified reaction. Its efficiency of generating protons was investigated with hydroxystyrene.
